T

he Visalia Chamber of Commerce spent the summer months planning for a busy fall and winter of chamber programs and events. From now to the end of 2021, our community can look forward to time-honored traditions, new and exciting events, and programs to assist with local leadership development and young entrepreneurs.

  • The 2021-2022 Leadership Visalia program is set to start at the end of August. The nine-month professional development program is designed to help current and future leaders develop their leadership skills, community knowledge and professional networks. Interested applicants can contact the Visalia Chamber directly for more information.
  • On Aug. 26, the chamber will host the annual State of Tulare County luncheon. The event serves as a forum for the Tulare County Board of Supervisors to highlight the county’s accomplishments and outline a foundation for the future.
  • Registration opened on July 1 for the 2021 fall Jr. CEO program. The five-week digital program is set to start in September. Participating students will have the opportunity to partake in Jr. CEO Hot Chocolate Day on Nov. 6. Please join us in supporting our young entrepreneurs as they set up their businesses across Visalia. Students interested in participating in the program can register at visaliachamber.org/ceo. A limited number of scholarships are available; please contact the chamber directly for more information.
  • Oktoberfest is set to take place on Friday, Sept. 24, at Vossler Farms. Tickets, available now, are expected to sell out quickly. The event highlights and shares the Central Valley’s best food, wine, beer and entertainment with our community. For tickets and information, please visit visaliachamber.org/oktoberfest.
  • Save the date! The Back to Business Batting Challenge will be on Friday, Oct. 15. This event helps move forward the chamber’s mission and community programs while providing an opportunity for team building for local companies. More information can be found at visaliachamber.org/batting-challenge.
  • As announced earlier this year, the chamber is excited to host the 40th Christmas Tree Auction on Friday, Dec. 3. Please visit visaliachamber.org/cta for future announcements on tickets and sponsorship.
