e at the Tulare Chamber of Commerce are excited to end the summer and head into fall with events on the horizon. It has been a long-awaited year and a half, and we are ready to be back together in person promoting, advocating and engaging with our members and the community. We welcome you to join us at our upcoming events!

On Friday, Aug. 27, our annual State of the City event will take place at the International Agri-Center. This event will feature presentations and updates from Tulare Mayor Dennis Mederos, 2nd District Supervisor Pete Vander Poel III, State Senator Shannon Grove and Assemblyman Devon Mathis. There will also be a question-and-answer session after the presentations. We invite you to join us for lunch while hearing from our elected officials.

It is with great excitement that we announce the return of our annual Crush Party with the College of the Sequoias (COS) Foundation. Like you, we were disappointed to have to skip 2020 and are ready to be back for one of our most anticipated events of the year. Crush Party provides the community with the opportunity to support COS and the Tulare Chamber of Commerce, while enjoying premium California wines as well as gourmet food selections from local restaurants. There will also be an opportunity drawing for a collection of 109 bottles of wine on display in a unique wine tree. Crush Party 2021 is on Friday, Oct. 1, at the COS Tulare College Center from 6-9 p.m.

We continue to celebrate our businesses and were delighted to see the Tulare Historical Museum reopen its doors. The museum, located in the heart of Tulare and often referred to as “The crown jewel among small museums,” hosted a grand reopening ribbon-cutting ceremony. The newly refreshed establishment features an expanded gift shop, new exhibits in its Depot Gallery and an additional display room featuring a collection of never-before-seen items. Check out the museum’s Facebook and Instagram pages to keep up to date on current events and exhibits.
